This is the first course in our Summer of Safety Series. In today’s fast-changing industrial scene, making sure machines are safe is a top priority. This seminar provides you with what you need to know and do to keep your machine designs safe and sound.

Seminar Topics:
• Overview of safety standards and requirements
• Documentation of machine safety
• Safety design process (Safety Lifecycle)
• Safety integrity level (SIL) and performance level (PL) overview
• How hardware selection & design impacts the performance level
• Intro to performing & scoring a risk assessment.

Lunch is provided.

Optional SISTEMA lab following seminar.

About the Instructor:

Pat Rockey, Safety Solutions Consultant from Rockwell Automation, is a TÜV Rheinland Machinery Safety Expert with 30 years of automation and safety experience. Pat is also an active member of ANSI B11.0, B11.19 and RIA15.06 safety standard committees.
