Fundamentals of PowerFlex 525 VFD Wiring and Commissioning

Learn how to install, test, start-up, and troubleshoot basic PowerFlex 525 VFD applications

This three-day class covers a combination of instructor led discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on labs. The students will experience learning to wire, program, and operate Variable Frequency Drives.

Class topics cover VFD theory, motor theory, input protection, output protection, dynamic braking, encoder feedback, safe torque-off, PID regulation, Ethernet communications, and VFD applications.

During the hands-on labs, students will learn about various control configurations and applications using their VFD workstation, HIM module, and hand-held VFD test module. In addition, they will have a hands-on experience testing and troubleshooting VFDs using various Fluke test and measurement equipment.
