Course Description: This 1 day “add-on” to the IRS500 - Introduction to RSLogix™ 500 (or “standalone” for experienced SLC500 users) is designed to teach the basics of using Devicenet to control a distributed I/O control system. The labs and lecture will highlight the setup and commissioning of a Devicenet scanner and network and will have the student writing ladder logic to read the inputs and control the outputs connected by this very popular industrial network. Prerequisites: IRS500 - Introduction to RSLogix™ 500 or significant experience with the SLC500/Micrologix family of controllers and the RSLogix™ 500 programming software. Who Should Attend: Maintenance or Engineering personnel who desire a basic understanding of DeviceNet networks for distributed I/O control systems using SLC500 or MicroLogix 1500 Controllers. This course serves as a good pre-requisite for the more advanced Rockwell Automation training courses. Course Length: 1 Day - Classes run from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM |
