IDEAL introduces the next generation of pre-filled
twist-on wire connectors for damp, wet or direct burial electrical
connections. The complete line of silicone filled wire connectors was
specifically designed to meet the requirements of UL 486D.
Each connector features non-hardening, silicone-based sealant that protects the
entire connection from the damaging effects of moisture and corrosion.
These easy-to-apply twist on wire connectors are suitable for use where exposure
to rain, moisture, condensation, high-humidity, or corrosive elements are
likely. In many cases they eliminate the need for heat-shrink, resin-packs
or multi-step corrosion kits.
The WeatherProof line offers
excellent protection from the elements and is suitable for above ground interior
and exterior electrical connections exposed to rain or damp/wet conditions.
