New Stud Sensors from Greenlee |
|
 Greenlee is proud to introduce three sensing and scanning products - SF-420AC Stud Sensor with AC voltage sensing capabilities, SF-530 Multiscanner and SF-780 Metal Locator. All three of Greenlee’s sensing and scanning products are powered by Zircon® technology, which is a recognized leader in high-technology electronic hand tools.
SF-420AC Stud Sensor and SF-530 Multiscanner are both stud sensors. The SF-420AC Stud Sensor with AC detection finds wood and metal studs and joists behind walls, floors, and ceilings up to 1-1/2” inches (38 mm) deep and indicates the presence of energized AC voltage. The SF-420AC Stud Sensor may be used in Stud Scan mode or DeepScan® mode. Stud Scan mode is used for depths up
to 3/4” (19 mm) and DeepScan® mode is used for depths up to 1-1/2” deep (38 mm) which provides the electrical worker with much needed versatility. The SF-420AC Stud Sensor utilizes the patented SpotLite® Pointing system which shines a bright beam of light over stud edges. Another unique feature of the SF-420AC Stud Sensor is that it automatically calibrates itself after each use. The continuous AC wire warning adds another level of security when using the SF-420AC Stud Sensor. Regardless of the mode that is selected, the SF-420AC is always detecting the presence of hot AC wires.
 The SF-530 Multiscanner has many of the same features of the SF-420AC but also includes a large, backlit LCD display for easy viewing in poorly lighted areas and metal finding capabilities. The easy-to-understand, on-screen graphics add to the simplicity of this product. The SF-530 Multiscanner finds copper and other non-ferrous metal up to 1-1/2” deep (38 mm) and ferrous metal, such as rebar, in concrete up to 3” deep (76 mm). The SpotLite® Pointing System shines a bright green beam of light over target edges.
Like the SF-420AC Stud Sensor, the SF-530 Multiscanner is always detecting the presence of voltage regardless of which mode is selected. The SF-530 Multiscanner may also be used to trace hot wires behind walls, floors and ceilings.
